For what does it profit a man?

“And he said to all, ‘If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me. For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will save it. For what does it profit a man if he gains the whole world and loses or forfeits himself?'” -Luke 9:23

“Take care, and be on your guard against all covetousness, for one’s life does not consist in the abundance of his possessions.” -Luke 12:15

“Sell your possessions, and give to the needy.” -Luke 12:33

  1. Brother, I think God is working in you a lot. And that is awesome. I love you and I miss you. The Gospel is hard because we do not acknowledge that it is everything. I think that’s our biggest struggle. We want the Gospel and our desires. But the Gospel is everything, and our desires are nothing. We already have everything in God. He has given us to Himself through Christ and the Holy Spirit. We do not have to give up anything, because what we give up is rubbish. Instead, we receive everything from Him. Joy unspeakable, full of glory. Eternity. God is good. He loves us. I love you, and I thank God for you!
